  The Yemeni Association for Sports Media through its legal representative, Lawyer Ralph Charbel, issued a clarification statement concerning the illegal leak of documents from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), related to the appeal submitted by the Association against the International Sports Press Union. The statement emphasized that publishing these documents on social media platforms constitutes a clear violation of Article 43 of the CAS Procedural Rules, which imposes strict confidentiality on all documents and proceedings related to the case. The statement highlighted that respecting legal confidentiality is a fundamental principle to ensure the integrity of judicial processes and protect the rights of all parties involved. Board of the Yemeni Association for Sports Media Approves Preparations for the General Assembly Conference

 



The Board of the Yemeni Association for Sports Media held its regular meeting on Friday evening (virtually) under the chairmanship of Dr. Saleh Hameed, to discuss organizational updates and ways to develop media performance in the upcoming period.


The meeting focused on reviewing plans and visions aimed at elevating the Association’s work, improving its operational mechanisms, and enhancing the capacities of its staff to keep pace with modern developments in sports media, especially in digital media and professional content creation.


The meeting was joined by Amin Jamman, President of Wahda Sana’a Club, and businessman Hani Al-Sayyadi, where ways to strengthen partnerships between the Association, sports clubs, and federations were discussed, emphasizing a professional and responsible media discourse that serves Yemeni sports and reflects its values.


The Board appreciated the continued support of Hani Al-Sayyadi and the strong engagement of Amin Jamman with the Association’s activities and programs, affirming that this collaboration serves as a model for developing the sports media sector and enabling it to fulfill its national and professional mission.


Additionally, the Board discussed a proposal submitted by Executive Director Basheer Sinan regarding the training and qualification program for the coming year, aiming to equip young media professionals with content creation skills and the ability to use modern media tools and technologies.


The Board approved the participation of the Association’s President, Secretary-General, and Board Member Kamal Al-Abara in upcoming events and meetings related to the Association’s work, alongside preparations for the General Assembly Conference to discuss and approve the strategic plan and activate pathways for marketing, resource development, and partnerships.


The Board also reaffirmed its position against any legal violations or misconduct in the Asian Congress and unanimously authorized the Executive Director to take necessary actions in accordance with regulations and the law.


The meeting also addressed organizing a Sports Media Conference and Forum, along with a seminar to evaluate Yemen’s participation in the Asian Games in Bahrain, and another on the impact of the absence of local competitions on clubs and national teams, and ways to revive football activities.


The Board commended the distinguished administrative models presented by Yemeni clubs, notably Wahda Sana’a Club led by Amin Jamman, Al-Saqr Club led by Shawqi Ahmed Hael and board member Riyad Al-Harwi, and Wahda Aden Club led by Captain Wisam Muawiya.


The Board also expressed pride in the honorable results achieved by Tadamon Hadramout Team in the Gulf Clubs Championship, defeating Al-Shabab Saudi Club and drawing with Al-Nahda Omani Club.


Attending the meeting were Executive Director Basheer Sinan, Secretary-General Khalid Al-Nawari, First Deputy Shawqi Abdulkarim, Assistant Secretary-General Dr. Saqr Al-Marisi, and members: Mohammed Al-Haj, Jamman Dweil, Yahya Al-Dhale’i, Youssef Basenbel, Ahmed Al-Omari, Adel Al-Tashi, Randa Al-Ziyadi, Abdulhameed Al-Kamali, and Kamal Al-Abara.
