Although the group stage of the Yemeni Football League ended days ago, the Yemeni Federation of the Game has not yet announced the date of the semi-finals because of differences with clubs over the venue of the games.
Four clubs qualified for the Golden Square, Ahli Sana 'a, leader of Group I and will play against the second-placed Shaab Hadramawt in Group 2, while Wehda Sana' a, leader of Group 2 will play against the Tadamn Hadramwat of the second-placed in Group I.
The four clubs belong to the capital Sana 'a and Hadramawt governorates and nominations go on to win one of the Sana' a clubs the league after the strong levels they presented in the tournament.
Press sources say the Yemeni Federation of the football and clubs are at odds over the cities that will host the games, with each club wanting to hold the match at home and therefore no agreement has been reached to everyone's satisfaction.
Possible options include holding home-and-away games so that each club can benefit from the advantage of its stadium and support its fans and there is equality between all teams.
If this is not agreed, the matches can be held in a neutral governorate such as Marib, Hodeida or Shabwa, all of which have stadiums that are ready and suitable for the matches and enjoy security stability.
Sports journalist Majed Altayachi, supports these options, saying that "if the Federation cannot agree with clubs to hold matches in a neutral governorate, it can propose home and away system to take into account everyone's demands".

He added in a special statement that if clubs do not agree to these options, the (YFA) can make the appropriate decision provided that the audience of sports teams is taken into account.
Cities and matche Stadiums
If the matches are held back and forth, the right stadium for the Hadramawt clubs is the Olympic Stadium of Sayoun City, an international stadium that accommodates thousands of fans and hosts the current and last year's league games.
However, the Shaab and Tadamn clubs may propose to hold their matches in the city of Mukalla to which they belong, specifically at the Paradem Stadium, but this stadium is less good than the other city stadium.

For the Sana 'a clubs, the right option is either the Revolutionary International Stadium, Yemen's largest stadium, which hosted pre-war international games with a capacity of more than 30 thousand fans, or the 22 Mayo Stadium in the suburb of Sawan, which currently hosts league games.

In contrast, if a third governorate is chosen to host matches, for example the city of Marib, it has the Olympic Stadium, which hosts the exercises of national teams and the league of second-tier clubs, as well as the city is safe and stable.

In neighbouring Shabwa, Al-Khalifi Stadium, which hosted league games last season, is closer to more Hadramawt clubs than Sana 'a.

Finally, the coastal province of Hodeidah, which has three stadiums: Al-Alfi Stadium, which is ready and was hosting pre-war league games, was rehabilitated last year.
There is Sabbab Al-Jeel Club Stadium and another stadium, (FIFA), which was built with funding from the International Football Federation.
