The three most expensive points in the Yemeni League (analysis)

By Mareb Al-ward

Shaab Hadramwat and Shaab Ibb teams

Shaab Ibb team enters their last game against Shaab Hadramawt on Monday evening, under the slogan "Winning and nothing else" in order to escape relegation to the second tier, but the task will not be easy against their strong and aspiring rivals to qualify for the semi-finals of the Yemeni league.

This will be toughest game Shaab Ibb of the season for a number of reasons. First, it will determine it future in the League of Lights, and therefore it needs to win more than one goal while keeping clean sheets. Second, the rival is strong and close to qualifying and will enter the game to win in order to be in the golden box and compete for the title he won in 2019.

It is the most expensive three points for the two teams in the entire season because winning guarantees the "stubborn" to stay especially if it is more than a goal apart (unless there is a change in the relegation rule), in return the win gives the "Gulls" qualification directly even if their rival Fhman wins over the leader Wehda Sana 'a, because it will be one point ahead of them.

In other words, it is a difficult match for both, although the "Gulls" are better arranged, performer and less pressured, but these advantages will not change the reality of the difficulty of meeting, which is likely to be resolved by small details and luck.

Historically, the teams' meetings have long been characterized by club and strength in at least 23 top-flight games and have only been archived, indicating that Shaab Hadramawt have won nine times with 31 goals, while Shaab Ibb have won eight times and scored 30 goals, with a draw of six times.

Who will take the three points: "gulls", go up for the semifinals or "stubborn" and survive the relegation for the second season?
