Wehda Sana 'a is a sports club with many games, most notably football, which is one of the strongest and most achieving teams in Yemen.



The team is currently preparing for the semi-final first leg against Al Tadamun Hadramawt Team at Paradem Stadium in Mukalla in late January and the second leg in Sana 'a in early February.



The Wehda was leading Group B with 21 points after a stellar performance made them a strong favourite to win the league title for top-flight clubs and compensate for the disappointment of the 2021 season when they lost the title on penalties against the Fahman Abyan team.

Establishment and Headquarters



According to several sources, the club was founded in 1954 as the "Club of the Republic" and lasted for four years.



Remarkably, he bore this name before the announcement of the republican regime in northern Yemen in the revolution of 26 September 1962.



In 1958, the name was changed to "Crescent Club" and remained until 1967, where it was renamed the "Unity Club", the current name of the Club.

Nickname and uniform



The Wehda is known as the "leader", referring to race and power. Sports sources state that this title came after the team achieved the Yemeni League Championship for First Division Clubs three times in a row and became the first Yemeni team to achieve this achievement, so it retained the title forever.



The Wehda, along with Al Ahli Pola, represents the capital Sana 'a, who together possess the most titles in various local tournaments.
